Please read carefully before your first appointment. These Terms and Conditions apply to all service (which includes supervision, training or treatment) provided by Jolandi du Preez to clients/you. You should understand that by accessing our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Scope of Services

We provide Occupational Therapy supervision, training and mental health treatment services:​​

Enquiry and booking:​
-
Treatment: Initial enquiries (telephone, email and face-to-face) of up to 20 minutes made to Jolandi du Preez Occupational Therapist will be free of charge. Booking for assessment and intervention must be made directly with Jolandi du Preez. Please note an email/letter or telephone message from either Jolandi du Preez or the client confirming the date and time of an assessment appointment will constitute acceptance of the assessment booking and agreement to the terms and conditions.​

Clinical Supervision: Initial supervision enquiries of up to 20 minutes will be free of charge. Booking a supervision session must be made directly with Jolandi du Preez. Please note, the same conditions apply as booking for an assessment or intervention as detailed above.

Training: Any training requirement discussions will be free of charge whereafter booking will be agreed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the needs of the person/company.

Assessments
-
An assessment is always recommended to ensure that the client’s specific needs and goals are understood and will be in the client’s best interest
-
A Full Occupational Therapy Assessment will be an initial session/s lasting up to 2 hours (depending on complexity) and a 1.0-hour follow-up session, during which goals and a treatment plan will be agreed together to guide treatment. The cost for this assessment is available on the website and include a report.

Sensory Modulation initial assessment session will last up to 1.5 hours. The cost of this assessment is available on the website and include a Sensory Assessment report.

You will be invoiced for 50% of the assessment cost after the initial assessment session and should be paid prior to the follow-up session. You will not be expected to pay the balance plus applicable travel charges until the assessment has been completed in full and you have received your report/sensory report and treatment plan. The balance of the payment should be received within 15 days of invoice date and prior to the commencement of agreed treatment sessions. Payment should be made by bank transfer as per invoice details.​

Treatment sessions

Occupational Therapy treatment can be agreed on completion of the Assessment and receipt of the report and treatment plan. Treatment will include setting measurable goals, which will be regularly reviewed.

Sensory Modulation sessions will be agreed on completion of the Assessment and will include support with implementation of sensory modulation strategies.

Treatment sessions will be held in the most appropriate location. Within London and East Surrey, in-person appointments in a mutually agreed location could be offered. Alternatively, consultations will be conducted via secure video conferencing platforms.

Sessons generally lasts 1 hour, but longer sessions can be agreed if beneficial. The cost of treatment is available on the website and include documentation completion after the session. Other admin, for example writing programmes, additional reports, letters or research relating to session will be charged at the hourly rate pro rata for time spent on the task.

By scheduling treatment sessions, you are expected to attend. The client will be invoiced after each session; payment should be made by bank transfer and should be received within 15 days of the invoice date. Payment should be made by bank transfer as per invoice details. Writing programmes or reports are chargeable activities. Late payments may be subject to interest at 2% per month.

Jolandi du Preez does not offer crisis support or intervention. In the case of an emergency, clients are requested to contact their GP, Psychiatrist or local authority crisis support unit such as the A&E department of their local hospital. Jolandi du Preez reserves the right to terminate treatment should circumstances indicate that the intervention is not appropriate or safe for the occupational therapist of client.

Travel time and mileage may be added to the cost of the session and will be agreed at the time of booking.

Clinical Supervision

The number and frequency of Clinical Supervision session will be mutually agreed at the start of supervision and reviewed after the first 6 sessions and then regularly reviewed thereafter as agreed.

Supervision sessions will be held at the most appropriate location. Within London and East Surrey in-person sessions in a mutually agreed location could be offered. Alternatively, supervision will be conducted via secure video conferencing platforms.

The cost of supervision is available on the website and the occupational therapist will be invoiced after each session. Payment should be made by bank transfer as per invoice details and should be received within 15 days of the invoice date.

If a pack of 6 sessions are agreed on, you will be invoiced for 50% of the cost and should be received at least 2 days prior the first supervision session, with the rest payable at the end of the 6 sessions. Payment should be made by bank transfer as per invoice details.

Training
-
Training can be offered on an individual basis or as a group with costs of treatment available on the website. Training includes 2-part training session of 3.5 hours each and 2 supervision and implementation sessions of 1.5 hours each

Training sessions will be held at the most appropriate location or via secure video conferencing platforms.

You will be invoiced 50% of the training cost on confirmation of scheduled date and should be received at least 7 days prior to the confirmed training date. The balance will be expected at the end of Part 1 and prior to the commencement of Part 2 of the training. Payment should be made by bank transfer as per invoice details.

Bespoke training for services can be offered and will be costed according to need.

Insurance and Third Parties

You are responsible for verifying any private insurance cover or third-party funding.

We accept no responsibility for denied claims or reimbursement issues.

Cancellation Policies and Late arrival
-
Should a client be unable to attend a prearranged appointment, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required, for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full fee for the missed session. If you are able to provide enough notice (over 48 hours) we will endeavour to change the appointment time for you and you will not be charged for cancellation.

Repeated missed appointments may result in discharge from the service.

In the event that the therapist has to cancel a session due to illness or for any other reason, no fee will be charged, and as much notice will be given as possible. The appointment will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience.

Late arrival: Please notify the therapist as soon as you know you are going to be late. Clients who are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment might not be seen and will be fully charged for the missed appointment. If seen for the session, the session will end at the scheduled time and you will still be charged for the full booked time.

Video Consultations

Video consultations are conducted over secure, encrypted platform.

While we take reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality, no system can guarantee complete security over the internet.
-
You are responsible for having a suitable, stable internet connection; poor connectivity may affect session quality.
-
You are responsible for providing a private, quiet place for the duration of the session.

Face-to-Face Appointments

Face-to-face sessions may require health screening (e.g., during infectious diseases outbreaks). You must inform us of any illness, contagious condition, or other health risk before attending in person.
​
​
Purchase Recommendations
-
We may recommend equipment or products to assist with your therapy goals. Recommendations are based on professional judgement; however, we accept no liability for the performance, suitability or safety of third-party products. You are responsible for any purchase decisions and related warranties.

Confidentiality and Data Protection
-
All clients’ information shared during sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without the client’s consent, except where required by law.

We manage your personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
-
Your information is used solely for the provision of therapy and supervision services and legal compliance.
-
A copy of our GDPR Privacy Policy is issued to all new clients and may also be viewed on our website.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information.

You are responsible for following therapy recommendations and attending appointments.

You must not record sessions without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

We strive to provide effective therapy and supervision but cannot guarantee outcomes. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

Complaints and Feedback
-
If you have cause for concern or complaint, please discuss the matter initially with your therapist. If you are still dissatisfied, complaints should be submitted in writing to info@jolandidupreezot.com.

If unresolved, you may contact our regulatory body, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Amendments to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be available on our website or provided upon request.
